AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Augusta's new Whole Foods Market opens its doors at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The 41,000-square-foot store is located at the Washington Crossing shopping center at 2907 Washington Road.
Customers who arrive at the grand opening by 8:30 a.m. will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win one of 100 gift cards valued from $5 to $500.
There will be a bread-breaking ceremony - Whole Foods' version of a ribbon-cutting - at 8:45 a.m. with Mayor Deke Copenhaver and Whole Foods leadership.
Georgia Regents University cheerleaders will rally the crowd before customers enter the store at 9 a.m.
The new store will feature a five-hole putting green, a patio and fire pit, and At The Turn - a outdoor snack shack, as well as a full-service coffee and gelato bar.
Regular store hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
