Several lane closures are scheduled for Augusta roads this week.
One lane on each side of I-520 between mile markers 3 and 5 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A single lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road at the I-520 overpass will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday through Friday.
A single lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road between Glenn Hills and Kipling Road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
One lane on Wrightsboro Road between Maddox Road and Belair Road will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
A single lane on each side of Wrightsboro Road from I-520 and Barton Chapel Road will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
One lane on Walton Way between 13th Street and St. Sebastian Way will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Several rolling lane closures will also be in place on Richmond County roads next week as a contractor for the Georgia Department of Transportation works to install reflective pavement markers between Wednesday and Friday.
Crews will be working on Washington Road between mile markers 0.4 and 7.51 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.
From 9 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, crews will be working on Belair Road between mile markers 0 and 2.27; on Gordon Highway between mile markers 6.5 and 6.75 and on Furys Ferry Road between mile markers 11.1 and 11.3.
GDOT officials say reflective pavement markings improve roadway visibility and help drivers see the road at night and in the rain.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials say drivers should use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in all work zones.
