Lane closures scheduled for Augusta roads this weekend

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Several lane closures are scheduled for Augusta-area roads this week as crews work on construction projects.

The east outside lane on I-520 between mile markers 3 and 5 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The west outside lane on I-520 between mile markers 3 and 5 will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. 

A single lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road between Glenn Hills Road and Kipling Road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Traffic will shift to the outside lanes on the I-520 bridge over Deans Bridge Road on Thursday. Drivers should expect delays and choose an alternate route if possible.

A single lane on Wrightsboro Road between Lukes Road and Flowing Wells Road between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

One lane on each side of Wrightsboro Road from I-520 to Barton Chapel Road will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

One lane on Walton Way between 13th Street and St. Sebastian Way will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Flagmen may be used. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in all work zones.
