Doctors Hospital recommending healthy tailgate options

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Doctors hospital is recommending healthy tailgate food this football season.

Executive Chef Matthew Shackleton said you can do simple things, like replace fried chicken wings with grilled chicken and replace fattening dips with healthier options.

"Instead of creamy, cheesy dips that you normally have, you can try humus or vegetables instead of tortilla chips and potato chips," Shackleton said.

Shackleton recommends moderation when it comes to drinks like soda and alcohol.
