The Duchossois Group, Inc. subsidiary The Chamberlain Group, Inc. and Controlled Products Systems Group will serve growing market demand for safety, security, and expert sales and service support

ELMHURST, Ill., Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Duchossois Group, Inc. (TDG) announced today that it has acquired Controlled Products Systems Group, Inc. (CPSG), headquartered in Denver, Colorado. CPSG is one of the largest wholesale distributors of perimeter access control solutions in the US, and supplies equipment to authorized dealers from coast to coast, offering the highest quality and most widely recognized brands of access control products available on the market. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The acquisition supports TDG's commitment to invest in strong, innovative businesses that complement its subsidiary The Chamberlain Group, Inc. (CGI) and serve growing market demand for safety, security, and sales and service support. As a destination company for perimeter access control solutions, CPSG provides state-of-the-art products, technical expertise and superior customer service.

"CPSG is able to successfully deliver bundled, perimeter access control solutions to the market by maintaining close relationships with customers and providing best-in-class service," said CGI Chief Executive Officer Jim Roberts. "As we leverage best practices, both companies will be better positioned to serve our dealer-installers, business customers and consumers."

CPSG will continue to be run as a stand-alone business led by Brian Huitt, President. CPSG's headquarters will remain in Denver, Colorado.

"Being acquired by TDG gives us long-term stability and access to the resources and infrastructure of a larger, focused parent company," said Huitt. "I am excited to continue growing CPSG through leadership products, total solution consultation, and unrivaled technical expertise and customer support."

For over twenty years, CPSG has been a one-stop shop for gate automation and perimeter access control. With 31 US distribution centers, CPSG currently serves over 4,000 dealer-installer customers.
