3 alarm fire at downtown Montgomery business extinguished

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A large blaze at a downtown Montgomery business was extinguished following a two-hour effort by firefighters Friday morning.

The fire started around 4:35 a.m. at the Browder Veneer Woodwork Company on North Mcdonough Street.

Within 25 minutes of responding, crews reported the blaze's escalation to a 2 alarm fire. Over the next hour, it would increase to a 3 alarm.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control and extinguish it by 6:35 a.m.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
