Woman charged with burglary in Aiken Co. neighborhood

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) - The Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested 32-year-old Kelly Pyle in connection with a burglary on the 1700 Block of Dibble Road.

December 15th 2013, Pyle is charged with stealing a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and $10,000 worth of tools, chain saws, golf clubs and saddles from the home's garage.

Officers said they found her DNA at the scene, but don't believe she acted alone.

"We recovered more than one DNA sample," Lt. Jake Mahoney said, "which leads us to believe she was working with other persons."

Officers said December 2013-January 2014, multiple burglaries took place in the same Kalmia Hills Area. Other vehicles were stolen, cars were broken into and personal property went missing.

Investigators said they are now awaiting laboratory reports, which could identify additional suspects, but recommend everyone in the area take precautions.

"Keep your doors locked, have exterior lighting in your home and also, if you're able to, purchase a home alarm system," Lt. Mahoney said.

Anyone with information is asked to call ADPS at 803-642-7620 or contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
