TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are looking for a man they say is responsible for seven robberies in the city.

Surveillance video from the Stop and Go on the 2300 block of West Laskey in west Toledo caught a man in a red shirt and red hat robbing the store. The video shows the suspect handing the cashier money as if he is going to pay for something, but as soon as the cashier opens the register, the suspect grabs a handful of money out of the drawer and runs out of the store.

Since that video surfaced, police say the suspect was identified as Jonathan Reed. Jonathan Reed now has multiple Robbery warrants for his arrest.

"It doesn't appear as though he has a weapon but he's a very desperate person," said Toledo Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.

Police say Reed is responsible for six other similar thefts throughout the city.

"You know somebody that hits six times in five days is somebody that's in desperate need of money, which may [mean] he is a drug user," Heffernan said.

Reed is a white male, 38-years-old, 6 foot tall, weighs 186 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes. Toledo Police say anyone with information should call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
