Officials to investigate house fire at Coca Cola plantation in Bay St. Louis

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -

This morning, The Hancock County Fire Marshall will begin the investigation into the cause of a fire that destroyed the guest house on the property of the Coca Cola plantation on Jourdan River Road in Bay St. Louis.

Bay St. Louis Fire Chief Pam Fanfillippo confirms several fire departments were called out to battle the blaze around 10p.m. last night.

Fanfillippo says the home is abandoned and she doesn't believe anyone lived there.

"The structure is a total loss," said Fanfillippo. "The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived."

No injuries were reported.

Fanfillippo says work is underway to contact the owners of the property.
