MARTINEZ, GA (WFXG) -

Rhodes Hill Drive in Martinez will be temporarily closed while crews work to repair the storm water infrastructure under the street, Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker said.

The road will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. starting Friday and every day at that time through Aug. 22, Tucker said.

The closure will prevent any thru traffic on Rhodes Hill Drive between Spring Creek Lane and Rhodes Hill Court.

Thru traffic will need to use Stevens Creek Road and Evans to Locks Road as a detour route. Residents between 3452 and 3494 Rhodes Hill Drive, as well as residents on Rhodes Hill Court and Heatherstone Way will need to use the entrance off of Evans to Locks road.

Residents between 3495 and 3502 Rhodes Hill Drive, along with residents on Spring Creek Lane and Lonesome Pine Court, will need to use the entrance off of Stevens Creek Road.
