The Gadsden Police Department arrested three adults and two juveniles after discovering marijuana and pills in infant formula at a home on White Avenue Saturday night.

Police responded to a unit at Emma Sansom homes, where they reportedly saw a cloud of marijuana smoke, and people allegedly intoxicated.

Nineteen-year-old Brandon Busby was arrested for marijuana position, along with 18-year-old Akiem Williams, who was charged with marijuana and salvia possession. Eighteen-year-old Gregory Taylor was also arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

In addition, two juveniles were arrested at the residence during Saturday night's discovery. Busby and Taylor have since been released on bond.

Both marijuana and pills were found in a can of powdered baby formula. The officers also found rolling papers.

The baby, in the home, was reportedly in good condition.

"Now, it [baby formula] wasn't in the baby bottle that the baby was sucking on," Sergeant Patrick Chumley, of the Gadsden Police Department, said. "It was actually in the powder, in the baby formula can."

Chumley doesn't know what led officers to search in the baby formula, but assumes someone told them it was in the formula can.

Police say the baby's mother could be charged, in the near future.
