Free Riders Motorcycle Club back to school giveaway

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

One local club is making sure kids in Aiken have all the necessities to go back to school.

The free riders motorcycle club is having its 11 annual back-to-school giveaway on August 16th at Perry Park in Aiken. They'll have food, games for kids, school officials there to answer questions. They want to make sure families start of the school year on the right foot.

"It's kind of hard on some of the families and we just take pleasure and we're just so blessed to know that we're able to help some families that are in need, you know if you have a family with six children, its hard to get their school supplies," said Carol Scurry, the club's coordinator. "So as long as we can be a blessing and help others and help these children get back to school."

Donations of school supplies can be dropped off at Smith Hazel Recreational Center at 400 Kershaw Street in Aiken. For more information, call Carol Scurry at 803-761-1543.
