Alabama State University, under the leadership of President Gwendolyn Boyd, hosted a Sting-A-Thon on Tuesday.
The fundraiser was streamed live, and alumni and friends were invited to donate to the 30 days of ASU campaign.
During the Sting-A-Thon, supporters were able to call in their pledges or drop off their donations at ASU's Lockhart Gymnasium
"This is a chance for us to really engage out constituents," said Zillah Fluker, Vice President of ASU institutional advancement. "We launched this short term campaign to reach out to our friends, family and alumni to give them an opportunity to be apart of this movement that we have going on here."
The Sting-A-Thon event had live music, free food, and much more.
