PHILADELPHIA, PA (WFXG) - A man wanted in the May 15 armed robbery of the Minit Shop in Gloverville, S.C. is behind bars, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators in Aiken County received a tip that Marvin Barefield was in Philadelphia, Penn. They contacted detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department, who arrested Barefield Thursday.
Barefield is accused of robbing an employee of the Minit Shop at 2345 Augusta Road at gunpoint on May 15, according to the sheriff's office.
He will be held in Pennsylvania until he can be extradited back to Aiken County, where he will be charged with possession of a firearm during a violent crime, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
