JULIA'S FORECAST: Record cool possible tonight!

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Good morning!

We're off to a pretty great Tuesday start. On the weather map, a cold front has passed through, and is now off to our south. While high temps for the past couple of days were in the low to mid 90s, today will top out in the mid to high 80s. Humidity levels will be tolerable and the skies sunny for the most part.

With clear skies and light winds tonight our temperatures will drop pretty easily. The thermometer could get down to the low 60s tonight, which is close to the record low of 61° set back in 1897. That means tonight could potentially be the coolest late-July night in over a century!

We've got another great day in store for Wednesday with relatively low humidity, sunshine, and highs in the mid to upper 80s. High clouds start to build in during the afternoon, and by Thursday the rain threat will be likely. We'll be keeping an eye on this, so stay tuned!
