LOS ANGELES, July 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles-based American Elements announced the further expansion of its ultra high purity metals & chemicals production facilities to meet growing demand for high purity materials for use in optics, electronics, photovoltaic, laser, research and military applications as well as laboratory standards.

The new production capacity will affect deliveries beginning in August however orders from existing and new customers for deliveries in July are being processed now. This will expand American Elements' production of all high purity oxides such as zinc oxide and aluminum oxide and rare earths such as ytterbium chloride. Other key high purity materials include 99.999% and 99.99% silver bromide, magnesium chloride, and lithium fluorides, silver chloride and various selenides and tellurides. The facilities will produce high purity metals with minimal trace impurities in the parts per billion and parts per million range.
