Franklin: Patchy fog Wednesday morning; feels like summer

It's an interesting day as we look to the sky. We are watching a lunar eclipse this morning.

The good news is that the weather is cooperating. There are hardly any clouds around this morning. However, there is a little patchy fog with a dense fog advisory in effect for St. Tammany Parish through 10 a.m.

Temperatures in the upper 60s and 70s are right in line with dew points. By the afternoon, highs will rise into the upper 80s. With a good bit of moisture around, expect some puffy white clouds to develop, but ridging in the upper levels will make it difficult for any showers to form.

The sinking air beneath the ridge will help keep rain chances to a minimum for the next several days.

Look for summer-like conditions to continue with warm and muggy air in place for the next several days.

The ridge will break down over the weekend allowing for some showers to develop, but it looks like the next chance for stormy weather doesn't show up until Monday and our next shot at cooler air is more than a week away. The marine forecast is calm.
