Johnny Hensley

Johnny Hensley formed Augusta's first rock 'n roll band in 1958 and traveled for several years professionally. He recorded at RCA Studios in Nashville where Elvis and many others recorded their biggest hits. He also managed, directed, booked or produced many top artists, including Ike, Tina Turner and James Brown for colleges and other venues. Johnny will be performing here at the Imperial Theatre later with the Red Hots for their 55th Double Nickel Reunion Concert on Saturday, July 26 to raise money for Children's Cancer Research.
