    A new report from the Southern Poverty Law Center shows thirty-two active hate groups in Georgia and twelve in South Carolina. Of those forty-four active groups in both states, three are based right here in the CSRA.

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Twelve people are behind bars and 11 others are wanted after two long-term investigations into a heroin ring and a methamphetamine ring, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

The heroin organization was operating in the Harrisburg area, according to the sheriff's office, and sold and purchased heroin from all parts of Augusta. 

Investigators said the meth ring was based in south Richmond County and sold meth to people from Burke, Jefferson and Richmond counties. Several stolen items, including tractors, trailers and vehicles, were recovered during this operation. 

The sheriff's office, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), executed 12 grand jury arrest warrants Thursday for the following people:

  • Megan Kimberly Phillips, 21
  • Krystyn Jena Radford, 23
  • Katrina Hope Ciccio, 35
  • Jerry Douglas Newton, 60
  • Thomas Jenning Hewett, 60
  • Mark Everett Tudor, 52
  • Dexter Carmell Hunter, 21
  • Michael Ryan Underwood 
  • Eduardo Hakiim McCord, 38
  • Grant Boucher Josey, 32
  • Andrew James-Benjamin Manion, 32
  • Allen Bradley Harman, 34

A few people that still have warrants outstanding are in other jails or prisons on other unrelated charges and will be extradited back to Augusta to be charged.

Deputies are still looking for the following people wanted on outstanding warrants:
