Hurricane Arthur rain causes road closures in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Some roadways in North Myrtle Beach have closed due to flooding.

Southbound traffic on North Ocean Blvd was restricted to one lane between Main Street and 2nd Ave N. on Thursday.

Roadways were closed on 16th and 17th avenues on South Ocean Boulevard.

Cones and detour signs were placed for drivers to take detours.

In North Myrtle Beach, nearly three-quarter of an inch has fallen since 12:30 p.m. An inch to an inch and a half is expected to fall Thursday in North Myrtle Beach, according to Meteorologist Brittney Bryant.
