MACON, GA (WFXG) - The Augusta Riverhawks are officially moving to Macon.
Macon leaders and the team owners unveiled the new logo for the team - which will be known as Macon Mayhem - during a press conference Wednesday afternoon, according to WMAZ. They also signed an official contract.
Last week, the Macon-Bibb County commission approved a rental agreement for the minor league hockey team to play in the Macon Centreplex if the team agreed to move to their city.
The Augusta Riverhawks were unable to play several games in the James Brown Arena due to problems with the ice system at the facility, according to the Associated Press.
