Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2014

NAPW honors Lynn Williams as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Williams is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in accounting. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters.

My skills and areas of expertise include accounting and all areas of taxation, including federal, local, state, franchise, sales and international, says Ms. Williams. In addition to accounting and taxation, I am experienced in corporate internal controls.

Ms. Williams brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting and taxation to her role as Corporate Tax Manager at Precision Drilling US Corporation. Throughout her highly successful career she has honed her skills while working in a broad cross-section of industries including public accounting, wholesale/manufacturing, transportation, oil and gas (deep sea pipelay and drilling) and information technology.

With Precision for less than two years, Ms. Williams has already had a significant impact on improving the companys policies and procedures. I have initiated a review of current processes within the area of sales tax and identified issues and exposure, she says. I have also assisted in resolving tax related issues and improved procedures by drafting various forms to be used by other departments within the company. Recently, Ms. Williams has become passionate about some day putting her expansive business knowledge to use as an entrepreneur. With that in mind, Ms. Williams is pursuing a degree in Business Law, which she believes will arm her with the additional knowledge and expertise she needs to operate a successful business.
