3 statewide runoffs in SC set for Tuesday

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WFXG) - Voters across South Carolina will cast ballots Tuesday in three statewide runoffs.

Mike Campbell and Henry McMaster are competing in the republican runoff for Lieutenant Governor. The winner of this race will face democrat Bakari Sellers in November.

Tuesday will also determine both the democratic and republican nominee for state superintendent of education. Sheila Gallagher and Tom Thompson are competing in the democratic runoff, while Molly Spearman and Sally Atwater are vying for the spot of the republican nominee.

Locally, in the CSRA, there will be two runoffs – the first in Barnwell County for auditor. That race is between Janet Ginn and Gwen Kinard.

In Allendale County, the race for probate judge is up for grabs and that is between Valaree Smith and Duncan Keith Smith.
