Paine College season football tickets on sale

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Season tickets for the 2014 Paine College football season are now on sale, and single-game tickets will go on sale on Aug. 15.

The college brought the sport back last year after 51 years without a football team. This year, the team will join the rest of Paine's athletics teams as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) this season.

The Lions' first game will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 against the Shorter University Eagles in Rome, Ga.

The team will open their six-game home season at 4 p.m. on Sept. 13 against Livingstone College. All home games will be played at Lucy C. Laney Memorial Stadium.
