Deputy shoots vicious dog

LINCOLN COUNTY, GA (WFXG) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says one of their deputies shot a vicious dog on Saturday morning.

The deputy, Kevin Link, responded to a call around 8:29 on Saturday morning about two vicious dogs at the 3600 block of Monmouth Road.

When the deputy arrived on the scene, one of the two dogs charged at him.

Deputy Link fired one shot striking the dog which ran into a wooded area.

The dog was recovered and taken to the vet by the owners.

The owner, Kelsey Beatty, was cited by Animal Control.
