Augusta Red Cross pioneer dies

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - A well known Augusta figure died on June 11th. Mary Lou Reynolds was best known for her work with the American Red Cross in Augusta.

Reynolds joined the military branch of the American Red Cross during World War II and served in many areas in the south east before serving as the executive director of the Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross for 28 years.

She was 96.
