Helms College invites prospective students to open house

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The faculty and staff of the Augusta campus of Helms College will welcome prospective students to tour their facilities during an open house set for June 18.

The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Helms College campus, located at 3145 Washington Road at Furys Ferry Road.

Prospective students and their families are invited to tour the campus, meet instructors and talk to representatives from admissions and financial aid for information about enrollment.

Helms College provides certificate and diploma programs in culinary arts, with an associate degree program planned for 2015. Current students will provide refreshments during the open house.

Helms College is nationally accredited, and its programs are eligible for Title IV funding, with financial aid available for those who qualify. Enrollment is underway for the next classes, which start July 7.

Helms College is a subsidiary of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, with additional campuses in Macon and Milledgeville.
