PD: Woman threw 2 kids, self out second-story window

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A woman appeared to have thrown her two small children out of a second story window before she jumped to the ground below, police said Thursday.

A watch commander with Las Vegas Metro police confirmed they were investigating an attempted murder-suicide that was reported at 5:53 a.m. in the 3700 block of Spiritual Way, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road.

Police said a 6-month-old boy, 1-year-old girl and the woman were rushed to University Medical Center Trauma.

The children were in critical but stable condition while the woman was treated for injuries to her spine, according to the watch commander. Police further said all three appeared to have suffered head injuries.

Metro's Abuse and Neglect Section was sent to investigate the incident.
