A woman was found dead in her home above the funeral home that she owned, according to the Richmond County Coroner's Office.
Thomasina Ketch, 85, died days before authorities were called, Coroner Mark Bowen said.
Bowen said Ketch's son, G.B. Hannah, called him around 5 p.m. Saturday. Hannah told the coroner he waited so long to call because he was really hurt by her death.
No signs of foul play have been found at this time.
Her body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.
The death is being labeled as suspicious until authorities know the official cause.
The investigation is ongoing.
