Deputies looking for suspect using stolen credit cards

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County Deputies are looking for a credit card thief. They said she swiped at Sunoco Gas Station on Walton Way Wednesday morning around 8A.M.

"A suspect conducted a transaction with a stolen credit card," Sgt. Michael McDaniel said, "She appears to be wearing a pink short sleeve shirt, looks like she has dark brown hair and a slender build."

Sgt. McDaniel said the same suspect is wanted for questioning about more stolen credit cards. He said a Burger King parking lot up the road has been a target.

They also aren't ruling out that there could be more than one suspect involved.

"It would be premature to say this is one person because right now we're just not sure," Sgt. McDaniel said.

If you have any information, contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1000.
