Golden Harvest kicked off the Master's Table Society campaign

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - The Golden Harvest Food Bank held their Southern Nights fundraiser to kick off their Master's Table Society campaign.

The Master's Table Soup Kitchen in downtown Augusta serves almost 10,000 people every month. About 200 people bought tickets for Thursday night's fundraiser. They enjoyed live music and even auctioned off a guitar signed by country singer Hunter Hayes. Organizers saID they need the community to help put an end to hunger in the CSRA.

"$1 dollar a day, $30 a month, you can join the masters table society and that would help feed the hungry right here at the master's table," said Travis McNeal, Executive Director at the Golden Harvest Food Bank. The need is great, and Golden Harvest has always been here, and we're called to serve the needy."
