AIKEN, SC (WFXG) - A Silver Bluff High School student is dead after suffering injuries from a three-car crash last week, according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton.
Tyler Cunningham, 19, was driving near Highway 28 and Silver Bluff Road when the crash happened around 3:23 p.m. on May 19, Carlton said. While Cunningham was not at fault, he was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his 1994 Ford pick up when the vehicle overturned.
Cunningham was transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center, along with his 13-year-old sister who was wearing her seat belt.
Cunningham died from multiple body trauma Wednesday evening.
No other people involved in the crash sustained any life-threatening injuries. The Aiken County Coroner's Office is investigating.
