The Georgia Department of Transportation is suspending lane closures during Memorial Day weekend, but the construction and maintenance will start again Tuesday morning.
One lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road between the I-520 ramps will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Crews will be working on Gordon Highway Tuesday to install footing for an overhead sign. A single lane on each side of the highway between mile markers 3 and 6 will be closed while crews complete the project.
A single lane on Wrightsboro Road from Jimmy Dyess Parkway to I-520 will be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for utility work.
A single lane on each side of I-20 between mile markers 201.2 and 200 will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for concrete slab repair.
Mowing is also scheduled along State Route 121 between mile markers 0 and 6.2 and on State Route 88 between mile markers 0 and 10.99. The mowing will take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Flagmen will be used for lane closures. Heavy equipment will be entering and exiting the roadway near maintenance projects. GDOT officials ask motorists to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
