This August, the campus of Louisiana State University at Shreveport will be 100% smoke-free.
Signs have been posted at LSUS for some time, giving students and faculty plenty of advance notice. The policy will apply to everyone, even contractors and will ban the use of any nicotine product, cigarettes, dip and even the new E-cigarettes. This is a trend across college campuses throughout the country.
This campus ban will take the convenience out of tobacco use and help lower the number of students who smoke, dip or chew. It goes into effect August 1st.
