New details in Aiken Co. shootings

Aiken County deputies are still looking for the people responsible for a string of shootings.

Deputies say the shootings started at 11 a.m. Saturday on Glenwood Drive when someone drove by a house and fired six bullets into it.

The woman who lives there spoke with Fox54 exclusively and asked to remain anonymous to keep her and her family safe.

She says that Saturday morning shooting wasn't the only one that affected her family that weekend.

At a party at the Aiken County Recreation Center early Sunday morning, witnesses say someone fired shots around 1 a.m., wounding one person in the lower back.

Police reports say that an hour later, someone shot at the same house on Glenwood Drive, this time sending two or three bullets into the house. Then 45 minutes later, someone shot at the house a third time. One neighbor says he returned fire on the car in the road.

The woman whose house was shot up three times says investigators found 22 shell cases in the yard from the shootings early Sunday morning.

She told me she feels her family is being targeted and she is extremely afraid for her safety. She also says right now she is trying to make sure her kids are safe and is looking for another place to live.

The three cases are being investigated separately. All of the investigations are ongoing.

If you have any information on these cases call the sheriff's office at 803-648-6811 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (1-888-274-6372).
