MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC) - Sad news spread throughout the grind house before Saturday night's game when it was announced that former Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley died.
Heisley was responsible for moving the team to Memphis from Vancouver in 2001. He sold the team to Robert Pera Robert in 2012.
Heisley suffered a stroke in February of 2013 after returning home from Houston the NBA All-Star game.
No details on the official cause of Heisley's death. He was 77 years old.
