A memorial fund has been set up for a woman and her son, who were found murdered in their home. The money collected will help with the funeral expenses.

Dewona Green, 40, and Ron Green Jr., 12, were shot to death in their Gonzales home on April 17, 2014. Dewona was an employee of Entergy and Ron Jr. attended Central Middle School.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist the family in paying for the funerals of Dewona and Ron Jr. Click http://www.gofundme.com/8jfyk4.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported Ronald Green Sr., 44, called an unidentified woman around 2 a.m. on April 17 and told her that he killed his wife and son and planned to jump off a bridge over the Mississippi River.

When deputies got to the home of Green's wife and son, they found the front door glass shattered and the two victims dead in a bedroom.

The day Dewona and Ron, Jr. were found murdered, Ronald Green's vehicle was found abandoned and still running on top of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in St. John the Baptist Parish. Authorities searched the area by helicopter, boat and foot, but did not find Green.

Authorities said there is a strong possibility he may have jumped off the bridge, but have not ruled out the possibility that Green is still alive. Investigators said they will pursue all leads until Green is found.

Green is described as a black male, bald, with a thin mustache. If you have any information on Green's whereabouts, you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.

Detectives have secured arrest warrants for him for two counts of first-degree murder and violation of a restraining order.
