Prescription drug take-back planned for Saturday

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

You can get rid of your unwanted prescription medications this weekend during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. 

CSRA residents can drop off their unused or unwanted medications between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at several locations thanks to partnerships between local law enforcement, community groups and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Here are the locations: 

Richmond County

  • CVS Pharmacy, 1520 Walton Way, Augusta - Richmond County Sheriff's Office
  • CVS Pharmacy, 2902 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta - Richmond County Sheriff's Office
  • Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, 300 East Hospital Rd., Fort Gordon - Directorate of Emergency Services
Columbia County
  • Kohl's, 4227 Washington Rd., Evans - Columbia County Sheriff's Office
  • CVS Pharmacy, 869 Horizon South Parkway, Grovetown - Grovetown Department of Public Safety
Aiken County
  • Parks Pharmacy, 437 Georgia Ave., North Augusta - North Augusta Department of Public Safety
  • Ingate Professional Pharmacy, 400 Laurens St. NW, Aiken - Aiken Department of Public Safety
Barnwell County
  • Barnwell County Sheriff's Office, 599 Joey Zorn Blvd.
