Four Montgomery high schools named among America's best!

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Four of Montgomery's public high schools have made the list among America's best high schools in the nation, according to a report released by U.S. News and World Report. The report annually ranks more than 19,000 high schools in the U.S.

Loveless Academic Magnet High School, Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School and Carver Senior High School have been recognized among the best.

Loveless Academic Magnet School was ranked as the best high school in Alabama, the 18th best high school in America overall and the seventh best magnet high school in the country. Booker T. Washington Magnet High School is ranked as third best and Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School is ranked fifth best in Alabama.

BTW came in 477 nationally and also earned the Gold Medal High School award, while Brew Tech was awarded the Silver Medal Status nationally and Carver Senior High was awarded the Bronze Medal nationally.

Over 31,000 high schools were analyzed in this report and five hundred were awarded gold medals. 1519 schools were given silver medals and 2,688 were awarded bronze, with bronze medals representing the top 15% of schools.
