MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A Memphis homeowner and his roommate woke up to fire early Monday morning at a home on Ingles Avenue near Kansas Street.

The fire department received multiple calls about fire around 2:30 a.m.

"I'm just glad everybody got out of there; me and my friend," said Ronnie Hunter, who owns the house. "He was the one that came and woke me up and I'm glad that God let us all get safe."

Investigators say an electrical fire started in a back bedroom. Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.

No one was hurt.
