There are many ways to spend an Easter holiday, and many South Mississippians spent theirs in Biloxi for the annual Crawfish Festival. There was something for all ages to enjoy including food, music, games and even shopping.
"Crawfish! We come every year. We try to anyway."
Because of the Easter holiday, it was easier for families to enjoy the festival without the big crowd.
"It's nice! It's empty, so I like that it's Easter and there's not that many people here. I love it, so she's able to get on the rides," said Lily Tosado.
A family that recently moved to the Gulf Coast from Chicago came to the festival for the first time. They say they were happy to be able to get out with the whole family, and spend their Easter Sunday with beautiful weather, fun and good food.
"Just for the kids. They decided to ride all the rides, so why not come out and have a nice Easter day? Just to make them happy. They love the food, they love the games, and they also love the rides. So what a nice summer day to get out and enjoy it."
"This is our first time here at the fair and we're having such a good time! We had the funnel cakes and they were so good. We won a lot of games and toys for the kids. You know they love playing games, so they're really enjoying themselves and I'm loving having fun with them," Shakira Dodson said.
If you missed this weekend's fun at the Crawfish Festival, you still have time to experience the fun next weekend starting Thursday.
