18-wheeler overturns on I-20 East

HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One person was injured in a one vehicle accident around 11 a.m. Sunday morning when an 18-wheeler overturned on I-20 eastbound.

According to MHP Public Affairs Officer, Trooper Eric Henry, the truck was driven by Levi Williams,58, who works for Morris Trucking of Arkansas.

Henry said Williams told authorities he fell asleep and the truck ran off the roadway on the right side causing it to overturn.

Williams was transported to Central Mississippi Medical Center with injuries.

The truck was hauling printer paper.

At last check a wrecker was on scene and all lanes of I-20 eastbound were blocked.
