CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Charges are expected Monday, April 21 following a violent scene on the eve of Easter in Lakewood that involved guns, machetes and knives.

At 7:45 p.m. Saturday, April 19, Lakewood Police confirmed that shots had been fired at The Foundry located at W. 117th and Detroit Avenue.

That night marked the second night of Fire Fest 2014. 13 heavy metal bands were set to play at The Foundry Concert Hall.

"We have an incident going on," said Lieutenant Frank Eschweiler.

Upon arrival at 8 p.m., 19 Action News witnessed that the area had been taped off and several officers were on scene.  Shell casings and blood were scattered on the ground.

According to police, a large fight had gotten out of control.

One witness told 19 Action News reporter Dawn Kendrick that she saw at least three men wearing hoodies who walked by. She attests they were covered in tattoos and she knew there was going to be trouble; that there was going to be a fight.

"They slammed into my car because they were fighting. There's blood all over my car and dents. I just ran. There were guys everywhere fighting. I heard four gunshots," says the 16-year-old witness.

She was convinced that the men are part of moshing crews, and some people consider them a gang.

Three victims were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center and one to Fairview and another to Lakewood Hospital.

A nurse from Fairview Hospital reports that the victims came in with machete and stab wounds - some even on their face.

Lakewood Police took 23 people into custody and they all spent Easter Sunday in jail.
