Posted: Updated:

Augusta Comcast employees are joining local volunteers for several community enhancement projects as part of Comcast Cares Day, the nation's largest corporate volunteer event.

Comcast Cares Day volunteers invite Augusta residents to join them on Saturday, April 26 at The Boys and Girls Clubs of the CSRA as they beautify both indoor and outdoor spaces, including the landscaping, the baseball field and interior rooms.

The cable provider expects more than 80,000 employees to volunteer at 700 Comcast Cares Day projects across the country. Since the program's inception in 2001, more than a half a million volunteers have contributed more than 3 million hours to the annual event.

The Augusta event will be from 8 a.m. to noon at The Boys and Girls Club of the CSRA located at the E.W. Hagler Club at 1903 Division Street.
