AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County deputies are looking for a man who they say robbed two businesses on Mike Padgett Highway.

Deputies say the man in the attached photo entered the Waffle House at 3411 Mike Padgett Highway around 12:30 a.m. Saturday with a blue Walmart bag over his right hand, according to the sheriff's office. He jumped over the counter and demanded cash from the register.

The employees handed the man an undisclosed amount of money, deputies said. He then ran east toward the Apple Valley subdivision.

Deputies believe the same man robbed the Sprint gas station at 3444 Mike Padgett Highway around 2:10 a.m. Sunday. He had a plastic bag over his right hand again and demanded money from the register.

He took the money and fled toward the Apple Valley subdivision again.

Deputies say the man is described as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, about 200 to 230 pounds and between 18 and 30 years old. During the Waffle House robbery, he was wearing a white T-shirt, camouflage shorts and gray shoes with white soles. During the gas station robbery, he was wearing a black sleeveless shirt (Jack Daniels brand), red gym shorts and the same shoes.

Anyone with information about the man in the photo can contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1020.
