Middle school lockdown lifted after bank robbery in Graniteville

GRANITEVILLE, SC (WFXG) -

Aiken County deputies are investigating a bank robbery in Graniteville. 

Deputies say they're looking for three men who robbed the Security Federal Bank on Canal Street around 10:15 a.m. Monday.

Two of the men were armed with rifles and the third man was carrying a pistol, Capt. Eric Abdullah with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. They may have left in a gold-colored vehicle.

Leavelle McCampbell Middle School was placed on lockdown Monday morning while deputies search for the robbers, according to the sheriff's office. The lockdown was lifted by lunchtime.
