SEABROOK, SC (WTOC) -

Neighbors and friends are mourning the loss of a Seabrook couple found dead inside their home on Thursday night.

Investigators believe at this time that it was a murder-suicide between Briand Chinn, 81, and his wife Jeanette, 80.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office has not released any new information regarding the case, but neighbors were shocked to hear the news of the passing of the couple.

It's a small, close knit neighborhood off of Browns Island Road and neighbors said the Chinns were a British couple that moved to the neighborhood close to a decade ago.

Neighbors said Jeanette Chinn was a brilliant artist who had beautiful paintings inside their home.

They often saw her husband, Brian Chinn, walking their dog around the neighborhood two, sometimes three times a day.

Neighbors described both of them as being very active in neighborhood gatherings and were caring, supportive people to all who knew them.

People are having a hard time dealing with the fact that they're no longer here.

"Both of them were extremely intelligent, well spoken people and we fell in love," said neighbor Gail Clark. "All of us kind of adopted them, they were so well loved and we're going to miss them a lot, very sad day out here."

Sheriff's investigators are still waiting on autopsy results and they're still trying to figure out what may have lead up to this murder suicide.
