Change of venue for Montgomery's Second Saturday

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Montgomery Riverfront Officials say Second Saturday in Montgomery is changing venues due to the flooding at the riverfront.

The event will now take place under the trainshed and on Water Street.

This event invites the entire city and visitors to enjoy the festivities. There will be a Riverwalk Antique and Classic Car show, which starts at noon. Also there will be interactive activities for the kids including face painting, balloon twisting and more.

Not only is there fun for the kids but also live entertainment from Brent Cobb and Diana Corcoran. There will also be various food vendors where you can purchase all types of goodies.

Starting at 9 p.m. John Lee Paint will host another, Paint the Sky Fireworks show. You can stand or sit and watch from the grass or take a Fireworks cruise aboard the Harriott II.

Admission is only a $1 with children 12 and under getting in for free. All proceeds will benefit the Montgomery Humane Society.

Officials stress no outside food, beverage or coolers.

WSFA 12 News, Bama Budweiser, PNC Bank and Stivers Ford are sponsoring Second Saturday.
