PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Fuel leaking from a gasoline tanker involved in a crash closed a Peoria intersection on Thursday morning.

A van and tanker collided about 5 a.m. at the intersection of 107th Avenue and Union Hill Drive, puncturing one of the cab's fuel tanks and leaking diesel fuel, said spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto. She said hazmat units were called in and sealed the leak.

The tanker was towed from and crews continued the cleanup until about 7 a.m. when the intersection was reopened.

No other information was immediately available.
