LILBURN, GA (CBS46) -

Police have confirmed that the body of a missing woman found in Gwinnett County is Angela Rabotte.

Two men surveying a wooded area along Lilburn Industrial Way made the discovery Thursday morning.

Rabotte, 26, was last seen Saturday at 6 a.m. at a Norcross apartment complex. She had dropped her 3-year-old daughter off at a friend's the night before then went to a party.

Lilburn police said foul play is suspected and they are treating her death as a homicide. They were waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Friends and family gathered at the Lilburn site as police investigated.  They cried and hugged after police informed them that the body found was that of the young mother.

"How could someone do something like this?" cried Montoya Campbell, the aunt of Rabotte's daughter. "We don't know what to say to her daughter. We just don't know."

Darrell Campbell, the father of Robate's child, said she loved her daughter.

"She was just a great mother. She had a great spirit," said Campbell. "She was a fighter, so I know she fought. She just didn't have this coming to her."

Gwinnett County police told CBS46 they have a man in custody who was one of the last people to see Rabotte before her disappearance.

Charles Outlaw is in jail on a probation violation, but police now call him a "person of interest" in Rabotte's death.

"We are certainly going to take his statement and compare them to the facts we gather at the scene," said Cpl. Jake Smith.
